Call for applications for the post of Coordinator for Basic Integration Support Services
JRS Malta is seeking to recruit a full time COORDINATOR FOR BASIC INTEGRATION SUPPORT SERVICES to work with forced migrants and asylum seekers.
Terms and conditions
The selected candidate will be offered a one year definite contract, with the possibility of renewal. Salary offered will be commensurate to experience.
Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Hold a recognised degree be in possession of a degree equivalent to Level 6 of the Malta Qualifications Framework.
- Have an excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Possess extensive organisational and communication skills.
- Be able to work independently and on their own initiative within a fast-paced environment.
- Possess a driving license, and preferably have their own means of transportation.
The following will be considered an asset:
- Knowledge of other relevant languages, such as French and Arabic.
- Previous experience working in the refugee/humanitarian field.
- Driving licence and own transport.
Job description
The selected candidate will be expected to work as part of the JRS Malta Team which is a multidisciplinary team of professionals from different academic backgrounds.
The Coordinator (Basic Integration Support Services) will be responsible for:
- Coordinating and implementing the JRS basic integration support services, i.e. support to access employment and basic services, the bus card service, info about language classes, banking services, etc;
- Coordinating the JRS language classes;
- Recruiting, training and mentoring volunteers for the service, in collaboration with other members of the JRS team;
- Working with other organisations providing basic integration support services to move towards a more coordinated and consistent services;
- Organising/Conducting info sessions for asylum seekers and beneficiaries of protection on employment-related issues;
- Conducting basic needs assessment, in collaboration with the Team Coordinator, to determine if clients should be referred for in-depth support;
- Any other tasks that may be necessary.

Applicants are to submit a letter of application by email addressed to info@jrsmalta.org, together with a recent police conduct certificate and detailed Curriculum Vitae, and the names and contact details of two referees by not later than 19th March 2021.
