Call for applications for the post of Outreach Coordinator (Awareness Raising)

JRS Malta is seeking to recruit a full-time OUTREACH COORDINATOR to work on awareness raising activities in schools and parishes.

The selected candidate will coordinate the various activities linked to the projects and ensure that the project tasks are completed according to schedule and to the highest possible standard.

This document outlines the qualifications required for the post as well as the job description.

Terms and conditions

The selected candidate will be offered a 12-month full-time contract, with the possibility of renewal. Salary offered will be commensurate to experience.

Qualifications

Applicants must:

®     Be in possession of a degree equivalent to Level 6 of the Malta Qualifications Framework.

®     Have experience working with children, adolescents and adults, particularly in a Church setting.

®     Be able to speak and write English and Maltese fluently.

®     Be able to work independently and take initiative.

®     Have excellent communication and organisational skills.

®     Be flexible and have the ability to work in a team.

®     Have good social media skills.

®     Be willing to work with and for people from diverse cultures.

Previous experience in the refugee field, in project administration/coordination and possession of a driving licence and own transport will be considered an asset.

Job description

The selected candidate will be expected to work as part of a team.

The OUTREACH COORDINATOR will be primarily responsible for:

  • Liaising with coordinating partners and internal projects manager throughout the duration of the projects.
  • Developing a network of participating schools, Church entities and Parishes, youth groups and organisations.
  • Developing, implementing, monitoring and following-up the outreach programme activities, including recruitment and training of participants and refugee speakers.
  • Assessing the needs of participants and adapting material to the target group and context.
  • Ensuring that project activities and administrative tasks, are implemented according to plan and deadlines are met.
  • Managing social media and/or web activity linked to the projects together with the Communications Officer.
  • Assist with any other project tasks and/or administration, as required.

Applicants are to submit a letter of application by email addressed to info@jrsmalta.org, together with a recent police conduct certificate and detailed Curriculum Vitae, and the names and contact details of two referees by not later than 19th March 2021.

Should there be difficulty in obtaining a recent police conduct certificate due to Covid-19 restrictions, this may be supplied at a later date.
