On Wednesday 13 July JRS Malta, together with Aditus Foundation, will present a research study titled ‘In Pursuit of Livelihood: An In-Depth Investigation of Asylum Seeker’s Battle against Poverty and Social Exclusion in Malta’.
The study was carried out by Dr Julian Caruana and Dr Alexia Rossi and will be formally launched this Wednesday at Valletta Campus in a conference and panel discussion held between 9am – 1pm.
During the event, we will explore the phenomenon of poverty among asylum seekers, with a focus on understanding the causes and sustaining factors of asylum seekers livelihood difficulties.
The event will be addressed by Dr Katrine Camilleri, Director of the Jesuit Refugee Service Malta; Dr Julian Caruana and Dr Alexia Rossi, Researchers and Dr Patrizzia Gozito, YMCA Malta. We will conclude the event with a panel discussion.
