JRS Malta is teaming up with Jesuits & Friends to launch the latest in a series of our fundraising efforts. This time, we are calling on all running enthusiasts to join the Jesuits & Friends Team at the LifeStar Malta Marathon and help raise funds for JRS in our mission to accompany, serve and defend refugees in Malta.

The idea is simple; if running is your thing, register to take part in the LifeStar Malta Marathon and join the “Jesuits & Friends” team to raise funds for our cause.

First things first:

  • It’s happening on 22 February 2026
  • Target for each participant is to raise €500 (It’s just a target. More, or less…every cent will count!)

Get started in 3 easy steps:

First register with the Malta Marathon HERE.  (choose between: Marathon, Half Marathon or Walkathon)

Then register with Jesuits and Friends HERE.

And read more about where the money collected will go HERE.

A few other things you should know:

  • Early bird registration for the marathon till 30th November! Registration will remain open but you need to book before this deadline to get a better deal.
  • When registering for the race, indicate that you are part of the “Jesuits and Friends” Team
  • The Malta Marathon fee IS NOT a donation to JRS Malta. That is a standard fee you pay when joining the official marathon.

What will you get once you’re part of our team?

-Support to set up a personalised “Whydonate” online crowdfunding page to help you reach your €500 fundraising target.

-Invitations to take part in two meetings (December and January)

-The opportunity of using the race track at the Mediterranean College of Sport, B’Kara.

-Invitation to be part of a Whatsapp group where you will receive support from a dedicated JRS Malta member of staff

-A “Jesuits and Friends” running vest.
