Earlier in June, Aditus foundation and JRS Malta, together with other organisations launched a Training Kit designed to support the empowerment of refugee-led groups. Funded by the Erasmus+ programme, the Training Kit on Empowering Refugee-Led Community Organisations aims to strengthen refugee protection by transforming refugee-led groups from ‘beneficiaries’ to active and equal partners.
The training kit is actually two products; one for refugees who want to become national advocates and the other for organisations that intend to engage in advocacy work at the EU level. This package is adaptable to different national contexts and geared to both information and skills requirements. The kit contains a Handbook that indicates what to do and how to do it. It also provides the content of the training: it is a series of presentations in .ppt format. A template for an evaluation form and for a certificate of participation is also included.
